Christy Mandin is a New York Times bestselling children's book author and illustrator who believes the best stories live a little to the left of ordinary. She grew up in rural Georgia and credits her country life of solitude as an only child for much of her love of books and nature. When she isn't drawing or writing, Christy can be found rummaging through antique stores for oddities, sketching strange creatures in her garden shed, or leaving peanuts out in an ongoing attempt to befriend a murder of crows. Christy currently lives in Georgia with her husband, 4 children, and a menagerie of animals and insects.
