Pollution Robots?!
While it's important for us to stop pollution before it gets to our waterways, the truth is, there's already a big mess out there. Lots of clever people around the world have come up with creative ways to tackle the mess we've made - from robot snakes to river trash interceptors to beach cleaning robots. One team is even using inflatable balloons to lift tires off the ocean floor! Let's check out some of these amazing inventions!
WHOA! That's one big clean-up invention!
Small, But Mighty
Little inventions are great, too! Sometimes, the simplest inventions do the job just fine! Check out this little beach comber.
SCIENTIST NOTEBOOK
Sketch your own clean-up invention in your scientist notebook. It can be as big or as simple as you'd like but there are a few things to remember: how will your device collect trash without harming animals, plants, or ecosystems? Does your invention require energy like gas or solar to power it?

Remember, this important motto when designing your pollution solution: "Do No Harm."
Use your imagination and get creative! It doesn't have to actually work or exist in real life to be a good idea. Start with an imagination spark. You never know where it will lead! If you'd like, you can even build a model of your invention. Remember to properly dispose of your materials in the appropriate bin when you're done.
